Question: What kind of entity is Defender? |
|

Answer: Defender Security and Consulting, Inc. is a U.S. California
based private corporation, doing business as Defender Training and
Consulting. The company established on May 12, 2002. |

Question: What kind of governmental permits do you have for your
activity in the counter terrorism arena? |
|
|
Answer: Defender Training and Consulting is holding E1 Treaty
Trader visa, approved by the State Department as a company that
deals with exporting security knowledge and anti terrorism training
services, from Israel to the USA. Furthermore, our Israeli
Instructors hold a special permit from the Israeli Ministry of
Defense - SIBAT, for exporting counter terrorism knowledge for the
benefit of U.S. groups, units, and individuals involved in public
safety. |

Question: Do you offer "Hosting" as a class option? |
|
|
Answer: Yes. Actually we are encourage departments to
host classes at their own facilities. This is the most cost effective way
for agencies, especially those with limited budgets, to obtain our training.
Many police and fire departments
from all across the United States have selected this option. |

Question: How I can get references about your company? |
|
|
Answer: References are readily available. Contact our office and we
will gladly supply you with the references you require, though please note:
Due to security
restrictions, references are available only to active law
enforcement and military personnel. |

Question: In the First Responder Course, what percent of the time is spent in the classroom and
what percent of the time is spent in field exercises? |
|
|
Answer: the percent of time spent in each activity is based on your
specific goals and our joint planning. In our tactical course the group
spends 80%-90% in actual field training in tactical shooting exercises and
"Krav Maga" as groups and individuals. |

Question: In the First Responder Course, what is the percent time spent in shooting practice?
|
|
|
Answer: This time varies depending on the course type and
duration. In the one-week tactical course, for example, we spend
approximately
4-5 hrs per day in shooting practice and exercises.

Question: In the First Responder Course, what is the number of rounds of ammunition used in a
course? |
|
|
Answer: In a typical one-week tactical training course, we ask that
trainees bring with them 500 rounds of ammunition with them along with
their personal duty
semi-automatic pistol (revolvers are not acceptable). |

Question:
What is the average length of a tactical training course? |
|
|
Answer: The
First Responder Tactical Course is typically 5-6 days long, 8-10 hours/day. Since
course curriculum is specifically tailored to your department’s goals,
specific details must be coordinated advance.
We do offer a one day tactical course, entitled "Introduction to
the Israeli Model." |

Question: Where do you conduct your courses and seminars? |
|
|
Answer: We prefer to conduct the courses at the client's
facility, especially if the course is a for an organic unit. In the case
that the attendees are from different agencies, courses can be hosted
by one of the participating agencies (saving in cost for the hosting unit);
alternately, courses can take place in a central facility,
designated by Defender Training and
Consulting. |

Question: Do we receive a certificate at the end of a course? |
|
|
Answer: Every attendee who successfully completes the courses will
be awarded a Certificate of Completion. In the Tactical course, each attendee will also
receive a cap and a T-shirt with the Defender logo. |

Question: Are the number of attendees per course is limited? |
|
|
Answer: Yes, the tactical training courses are restricted to a
maximum of 25 attendees due to the individualized training by our
chief instructor. The theoretical seminars can accept larger groups. |

Question: What about safety? |
|
|
Answer: Safety is our first concern. We employ strict, proven
safety regulations that every attendee must adhere to in order to complete
the course. |

Question: I need a copy of certificate, What to do? |
|
|
Answer: Simply call our office and we will send you a copy upon
proof of proper identification. |

Question: Who are the Instructors? |
|
|
Answer: All our instructors and trainers are top Israeli experts
with many years of "Hands On" field experience though working
with Israeli Counter Terrorism
and Intelligence agencies. Our chief instructor (and the company's professional
mentor) is Mr. Avi Leshem. |
